HeyPros gives companies a faster way to find, review, and hire subcontractors. From your desktop account, you’re able to search the subcontractor database, view subcontractor profiles, add contractors to your account, post public work orders, and create a hiring application so subs apply directly to work with your company.
This feature is currently available on the desktop version of HeyPros. It is not currently available in the mobile app.
Go to Find Subcontractors
Log in to HeyPros from a desktop browser and click Find Subcontractors in the left-side menu.
You’ll see two tabs:

Click View Profile to review more information about a subcontractor.
A subcontractor profile includes details such as:

Use the profile to review whether the subcontractor looks like a fit before adding them to your account.

When you find a subcontractor you want to save, click Add to My Account.
After adding a subcontractor, they’ll be easier to manage from your company account and use for future work.
Create a hiring application
Click Create Hiring Application to publish an application for subcontractors who want to work with your company.
The hiring application lets you tell subcontractors what you’re hiring for and collect applicants in one place.
Your hiring application includes:
Application title
Message to subcontractors
Trades you’re hiring for
States you’re hiring in
Public application link
QR code
HeyPros does not share your existing contractor list with anyone. Your hiring application is used to collect new subcontractor applicants for your company.
Build your hiring application
Use the application title and message to explain what kind of subcontractors you’re looking for.
Example:
Title
Apply to work with our company
Message
"We are currently accepting subcontractor applications. If you’re interested in working with our team, please complete the form below. We’ll review your information and contact selected applicants."
Select the trades you’re hiring for, then select the states where you’re accepting subcontractors.
Share your hiring application
After your application is created, HeyPros gives you a public application link and a QR code.
Use the link or QR code to collect applicants from places outside HeyPros.
Common places to share your application include:
Your website
Facebook groups
Social media pages
Business cards
Printed flyers
Referral partners
Existing subcontractor conversations
Subcontractors who apply through your link appear in My Applicants.
Review applicants
Go to Find Subcontractors, then click My Applicants.
This page shows subcontractors who applied to work with your company.
For each applicant, you’ll see details such as:
Applicant name
Company name
Work categories
Licensed states when provided
Application review option
Accept application option
Click Review Application to review the applicant’s information.
Click Accept Application when you want to add the subcontractor to your company account.
Post a public work order
Click Post a Job to create a public work order.
A public work order is visible in the HeyPros marketplace. Subcontractors on HeyPros view the job and submit bids. This helps you get your project in front of subcontractors outside your private contractor list.
When creating a public work order, include:
Title
Work order number, if applicable
Location
Work category
Start date and time
End date and time
Jobsite address
Description
Starting price, if applicable
Attachments such as photos, files, or blueprints
Checklists when needed
Clear work orders get better subcontractor responses. Include the trade needed, project scope, location, timeline, jobsite details, and any important requirements before a subcontractor bids.
Best practices for hiring more subs
Use specific trade and state filters when searching the database. Broad searches take longer to review.
Add subcontractors to your account when they look like a fit, even if you don’t have an immediate job for them.
Keep your hiring application active when you’re regularly looking for new subcontractors.
Share your application link outside HeyPros so subcontractors apply directly to your company.
Review applicants regularly so qualified subs don’t sit too long without a response.
Post public work orders with clear details, attachments, and expectations so subcontractors understand the job before they bid.
