Using HeyPros as a Public Contractor – Account Setup & Getting Started

Written by Alex Johnson

A paid HeyPros Contractor subscription gives you access to homeowner project leads in your selected trades and service area. Follow these steps to finish setting up your account and begin claiming leads.

Step 1: Complete your subscription signup

Visit HeyPros and choose the Contractor subscription offered during signup.

After completing checkout, follow the prompts to create your account.

Step 2: Complete your contractor profile

Enter your:

  • Name

  • Company name, if applicable

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Trade categories

  • Service area

Select the trades you actively perform and the areas you are willing to serve. These settings determine which homeowner leads appear in your account.

Step 3: Verify your phone number

HeyPros uses your phone number to confirm your account and send important account notifications.

Enter the verification code sent to your phone when prompted.

Step 4: Download the HeyPros app

Contractors should use the HeyPros mobile app to browse and claim homeowner leads.

Sign in using the phone number connected to your account.

Step 5: Review available homeowner leads

Open the Leads section to browse homeowner projects in your trade and service area.

You can review the available project information before deciding whether to claim a lead. If the project does not fit your business, skip it and continue browsing.

Step 6: Claim and contact the homeowner

When you find a project you want to pursue:

  1. Open the lead.

  2. Review the available project information.

  3. Select Claim Lead.

  4. Confirm the lead credit cost.

  5. Contact the homeowner using the phone number or email provided.

Reach out promptly and reference the homeowner’s project in your first call or text.

Step 7: Report covered lead issues

If you believe a claimed lead has a verifiable issue, open the lead and select Report an Issue.

Submitting a dispute starts a review and does not guarantee approval. If approved, the eligible credit used to claim the lead is returned to your active HeyPros account.

Review the HeyPros Lead Dispute Policy and How to Submit a Lead Dispute for complete instructions.
