HeyPros Lead Dispute Policy

Written by Alex Johnson

If a claimed homeowner lead has a verifiable issue, you can submit a lead dispute directly from that lead in HeyPros.

If approved, the HeyPros lead credit used to claim the lead will be returned to your active account. Returned lead credits are not cash refunds or subscription refunds.

What may qualify

A claimed lead may qualify for crediting when:

  • The phone number is incorrect or disconnected

  • The homeowner says they did not request the project

  • The project type or location is materially different from the information shown

  • The lead is a duplicate

  • The submission is fake or spam

  • A HeyPros platform error affected the lead

  • The homeowner remains unresponsive after multiple calls, texts, and follow-up attempts over several days

  • There is another verifiable problem with the lead information

Every dispute is reviewed individually. Submitting a dispute does not guarantee that the lead credit will be returned.

Eligibility requirements

To submit an eligible lead dispute:

  • The lead must have been claimed within the past 14 days

  • At least 48 hours must have passed since the lead was claimed

  • The lead must have been claimed while you had an active paid HeyPros subscription

  • Your paid subscription must remain active when the dispute is submitted and when an approved credit is returned

  • The dispute must be submitted from the individual claimed lead

  • Only one dispute may be submitted for each claimed lead

  • You must provide complete and accurate information, including any requested supporting details

A lead claimed using a credit that was previously returned through an approved dispute is not eligible for another returned credit.

Your request should show that reasonable contact attempts were made by phone and text, with follow-up continuing beyond the first attempt.

Monthly credit limit

HeyPros will return credits for no more than five approved lead disputes per account during a calendar month.

The five-credit limit is the maximum that can be returned, not a guaranteed number of approvals. Each dispute must still meet the eligibility requirements and pass our review.

What the policy does not cover

Homeowner leads are opportunities. HeyPros does not guarantee that a lead will become a conversation, appointment, estimate, or paid project.

A lead generally will not qualify solely because:

  • The project did not result in paid work

  • The homeowner changed or delayed the project

  • There was a disagreement involving price, timing, or availability

  • The project was smaller than expected

  • The contractor did not contact the homeowner promptly or make reasonable follow-up attempts

  • The account has reached its monthly dispute credit limit

How disputes are reviewed

HeyPros reviews disputes individually using the information submitted, the lead record, account activity, and other relevant information available to us.

As part of our review, HeyPros may:

  • Contact the homeowner to verify the project or reported issue

  • Review activity and reports connected with the homeowner’s request

  • Consider whether other contractors reported the same issue

  • Request screenshots or additional information from the contractor

  • Use other available information to determine whether returning the lead credit is appropriate

A dispute may be denied when:

  • It does not meet the eligibility requirements

  • The selected reason is not supported by the available information

  • Required information is missing, inaccurate, or misleading

  • Available information indicates that the homeowner request or contact information is valid

  • The account has reached its monthly dispute credit limit

  • The account shows excessive, repetitive, misleading, or abusive dispute activity

  • HeyPros determines that returning the lead credit is not warranted based on its review

HeyPros reserves the right to approve or deny lead disputes at its discretion, including for circumstances not specifically listed in this article. We may limit, suspend, or revoke access to lead disputes when we determine that the process is being misused.

How to submit a lead dispute

  1. Open the claimed lead in HeyPros.

  2. Select Report an Issue.

  3. Choose the reason that best describes the problem.

  4. Answer the follow-up questions and provide any requested information.

  5. Review your answers and submit the dispute.

If your dispute is approved, the lead credit used to claim the lead will be returned to your active HeyPros account.

See How to Submit a Lead Credit Refund Request for complete instructions.

The HeyPros Lead Dispute Policy, eligibility requirements, and monthly limits may be updated from time to time.
