Our most successful users post their work orders to as many subcontractors as possible for bidding, rather than just one or two select subcontractors.
While HeyPros allows you to selectively post your work orders to just a single subcontractor, we highly recommend that you post your work orders to as many subcontractors as possible. The more subcontractors you give a chance to review your work order and place offers, the more competition you'll foster, driving down your average work order price. Once your subcontractors see that they're not winning every job from you, they'll lower their bids in an attempt to win more jobs.
By making a work order available to more subcontractors, you're also boosting their engagement in HeyPros. If your subs are excited to constantly be checking the app for new work to bid on, they'll respond to your messages and work orders much more quickly- reducing the amount of admin time your team has to spend chasing down a sub to do a work order for you.
Even if you intend to give the work order to a specific subcontractor because you know he's the right fit for a certain job, we suggest posting the work order to any sub who could do the job. This will show the other subcontractors that you have jobs that they're not winning, that there is plenty of work available, and give you the opportunity to have back-up options in case your first choice isn't available to do the job for you.
You'll never know if a subcontractor is willing to do a work order for a massive discount if you don't give them the chance to make an offer- you may even discover that they were a better fit for the job all along!
