Our most successful customers prepare their subcontractors to use HeyPros rather than just sending out invites and hoping for the best.
We've all been there before; receiving a random text or email with a link to join a service we've never heard of. You're likely to delete the message and move about your day.
Subcontractors can be confused to receive an invite to use HeyPros out of the blue. From their perspective, they're working with "Joe's Painting" and now some third-party they've never heard of is getting involved. We find that the best way to make sure your subcontractors don't ignore their HeyPros invite is to have a brief chat with them to prepare them for the change in process.
Start by sharing with them how HeyPros will make lifer easier for them; their messages will be organized by work order, they can easily generate invoices when a project is complete, they'll be able to attach images and documents to specific projects, and they will be able to quickly and easily place offers on work orders with a tap of their phone. Let them know that this is how all jobs will now be dispatched from you organization, and that HeyPros will be the main place where communication about work orders takes place.
We highly recommend that they download the HeyPros app for the best experience, but if they're hesitant to download something new, they can always use HeyPros from their device's browser or just access our tools via the magic links texted out from HeyPros whenever you send them a work order or message in the software.
If you don't have time to speak with all of your subcontractors individually, we'd recommend hosting a group walkthrough in-person or via Zoom to familiarize your subs with our tools. If you have too large of a subcontractor network for this to be feasible, or have subs located across the country, craft an email explaining to them the move to HeyPros and provide them with the links to our extensive Subcontractor How-to guides.
