Locations/groups in HeyPros: Locations/groups serve as central hubs within the HeyPros system, housing both users and work orders. They can be used for a few different use cases.

For example:

  • Businesses that have multiple geographic locations need to have staff or subcontractors only see work orders that are attached to a given location.

  • Businesses that want to have multiple departments and want to have staff or subcontractors only view those work orders.

Creating a location/groups is required for work order creation, emphasizing the principle that every work order must be tied to a location/groups. Furthermore, locations facilitate organizational segmentation, enabling users to be grouped and differentiated based on specific geographical locations, departments, teams, or areas. It's worth noting that a user isn't confined to just one location; they can be associated with multiple locations/groups, enhancing flexibility and adaptability within the platform.โ€‹

1. Click on Locations/Groups

2. Click on Add Location

3. Type the location/group name

4. Type the location phone number (optional)

This is to allow the subcontractor to know what number to contact in that location/group if necessary.

5. Type the location address (optional)

6. Upload the location image (optional)

7. Click on Submit

Note: At the moment you cannot delete a location/group on your own. You must contact HeyPros support and we will delete a location for you on the backend.

Keep in mind, because work orders belong to a location/group any work orders that have been created in a location/group will also be deleted.

Users that are attached to a location/group that you need to delete will need to be unattached from a location/group and reattached to a new or existing one before we can delete the location/group.
