Work orders are able to be edited after being published. This allows you to make some quick, last-minute changes after you've put out your work order.
However, you must remember that once someone places an offer on a work order, you cannot edit the work order. You would need to cancel it to make changes.
This article will demonstrate how one can edit work orders:
1. Navigate to "Work Orders" on the sidebar menu
2. Click on the work order you need to make changes to
3. Click on "Edit"
4. From here, you may make changes to your work order as needed
5. Click on "Save Changes" when finished with your edits
That's all you need to make changes to a work order.
To make edits to a work order that has been won by a subcontractor, you'll follow the same steps shown above.
There are, however a few key differences. You cannot change the pricing model of a work order after it has already been sold to a subcontractors (i.e. Allow Offers, Instant Book, and Firm on Price). You will see that these options are grayed-out.
You will also find that you cannot edit the date(s) or price of a work order after it has been won be a subcontractor the same way you would be able to with an active work order. There is a different process that will allow you to make changes to a sold work order's price and/or date(s).
Click on the sold work order that you need to change the date(s) for.
Click "Change Schedule" to change the dates of the work order.
Input the updated dates and click "Send Request" to send the date change to the subcontractor for approval. If you want to force through the schedule change without subcontractor approval, select "Auto Approve Schedule Change" before clicking "Send Request".
To change the price of a sold work order, or to make a change order to a sold work order click on the sold work order that you need to change.
Click "Change Price".
Select whether you're adding or subtracting money from the price total.
Enter the amount of money you're adding or removing.
Provide a reason for the change- this is required.
Click "Submit" to send the price change to the subcontractor for approval.
If you want to force through the price change without subcontractor approval, select "Auto Approve Change Order" before clicking "Submit".
